Raymond Ward, a beloved son, husband, and friend, passed away on December 24, 2025, at Care-One at Somerset Valley in Bound Brook, New Jersey. He was 65 years old.
Born on October 11, 1960, in Hoboken, New Jersey, Ray grew up with a deep appreciation for music and a zest for life that would define him throughout the years. He graduated from Jefferson Township High School and went on to attend William Paterson University. With determination and charisma, he built a successful career as an accomplished sales professional.
Beyond his professional achievements, Ray was known for his vibrant personality and generous spirit. A gifted musician, he brought joy to many through his performances as a singer and instrumentalist. Whether playing the piano or keyboards, saxophone, or violin/fiddle, Ray's musical talents were as diverse as they were heartfelt. He played in multiple bands over the years and found great fulfillment in entertaining others—often making them laugh with his quick wit and warm presence.
At home, Ray shared a deep bond with his late wife Annette Donofrio. Together they created a loving home filled with compassion and care. One of their shared passions was rescuing Boxers and other breeds in need; their home was often graced by the joyful energy of these beloved pets. Ray also found peace in gardening—cultivating beautiful flowers and bountiful vegetables that reflected his nurturing nature.
Ray was predeceased by his cherished wife Annette Donofrio, as well as his parents, Raymond Ward and Helen Ward. His memory lives on in the hearts of those who knew him—as a loyal friend, a talented artist, and someone who gave freely of himself to those he loved.
May his memory bring comfort to all who were touched by his life.
