Rebecca Adelman, with over 100 years of life and love, of Skokie, IL passed away peacefully at home. Born in Zhuprany, Poland, she was a Holocaust survivor who endured unimaginable hardships. She dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her husband of 65 years and their four children. Devoted and beloved wife of the late Seymour Adelman. Loving mother of Linda (David) Johannesen, Pamela (Nathan) Kriska, Allen Adelman and the late Esther Anna Leavitt. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer Leavitt, Judy (Brian) Cohen, Adam Kriska and Jeremy Kriska. Proud great-grandmother of Abby, Zach, Samuel, Stella, Ellie, Zoey, Mia and Aria. Adored and devoted daughter of the late Avraham and Esther. During her final years Rebecca was cared for with exceptional compassion and dignity. The family wishes to give special recognition to Nadiia, who took care of her "little princess" with dedication and love.
