Rebecca Guthrie

Rebecca Guthrie, 44, passed away on November 29, 2025, in Akron, Ohio. Born on May 13, 1981, in Elyria, Ohio, she brought light and warmth into the lives of all who knew her.

Rebecca was a devoted mother to her two sons, Elijon Mccullough and Marquis Terrell. Her love for them was unwavering, and she worked tirelessly to support and care for her family. Her strength and courage were evident in every aspect of her life, and she faced challenges with grace and determination.

She is lovingly remembered by her mother and stepfather, Pete and Renee Cowhick; her sister and best friend, Kelly Rodgers; her cousin Daniel Guthrie; her mother-in-law Sarita Terrell; and Trevez Marquis Terrell, father of her son. Rebecca was preceded in death by her father Richard Lee Guthrie; her paternal grandmother Frankie Lee Guthrie and husband; and her maternal grandparents Garvis and Virginia Coker.

Rebecca had a heart of gold. She was known for her genuine spirit and boundless compassion—always putting others before herself. Whether it was through a kind word or a helping hand, she made those around her feel seen and cared for. Her presence brought comfort and joy to many.

In moments of leisure, Rebecca enjoyed playing darts and spending time with friends and family. These simple pleasures reflected the deep value she placed on connection and community.

Her absence leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who loved her. May the memory of Rebecca’s kindness, strength, and love bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
