Rebecca Kay Ledkins was born on March 7, 1975 in San Antonio, Texas.
In what turned out to be a blessing, her teenaged parents put her up for adoption.
This created the opportunity for two wonderful people - Chuck and Dianne Ham - to add a little girl to their growing family which already included her adopted older brother Chris.
Rebecca grew up in Stafford, Texas. She attended Stafford High School where she made many friends.
In 1996, Rebecca gave birth to her first daughter Regan. In 2001, she gave birth to her second and last child, Olivia.
Over the course of her life, Rebecca held several jobs. She worked at multiple daycare centers, was a substitute teacher who also volunteered doing various tasks at Austin Elementary, spent some time teaching at Faith Methodist Church and as the attendance clerk at Foster High School. All the while being an amazing homemaker, taking care of her family and home.
Rebecca was a beautiful wife, incredible Mom, grandmother and loyal daughter. She was sweet, considerate and very family oriented.
Rebecca was kind but could be quite fierce when it came to her family.
Rebecca is preceded in death by her Dad Carroll “Chuck” Ham, her Mom Dianne Ham and her brother Christopher.
Rebecca is survived by her husband Kevin Ledkins, Daughter Regan Speck and her husband Ryan, daughter Olivia Ledkins and grandsons Connor and Dillon Story and their little brother Luke Speck.
We will be having a Celebration of Life for Rebecca at 12pm, February 9th at Faith Methodist Church, 4600 FM 359, Richmond, TX.
