Regina Cranmer, born on September 23, 1946, in Washington, D.C., passed away peacefully at her home in Penrose, Colorado, on January 16, 2026. She was 79 years old.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Dan; sisters, Mary and Audrey; nephew Brian; and Carey and Eric, two individuals with disabilities who became like children to her over the years. She was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda; father, Philip Francis; and nephew William.
Regina's life was marked by faith, creativity, and compassion. A gifted artist, she created intricate beaded portraits of movie stars and animals—works that reflected her patience and vision. Her love for animals extended beyond her art. She cherished her horses and proudly rode in parades across Colorado. At home, she surrounded herself with exotic pets, especially her beloved hairless cats, whom she affectionately called her babies.
Her nurturing spirit shone brightly through her care for differently abled adults. Together with Dan, Carey, and Eric, she shared more than twenty cruises—joyful journeys filled with lasting memories.
A woman of deep Christian faith, Regina worshipped at New Jerusalem Baptist Church during her years in Fountain, Colorado. After relocating to Penrose, she found fellowship through local cowboy church services. Her kindness and warmth were a reflection of the values she held close.
Regina also delighted in treasure hunting through thrift stores—especially New Horizons in Cañon City—gathering unique finds that echoed her appreciation for colorful beauty in all its forms.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 11, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Regina's home: Penrose, Colorado.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her.
