Reginald David Young, Sr.

Reginald David Young, Sr., aged 65, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026, in Washington, DC, from natural causes. Born on November 27, 1960, he was a cherished figure in his community and a beacon of joy, strength, and dependability to all who knew him.

Reginald graduated from Ballou High School and proudly served in the United States Army. His time in the military reflected his deep sense of discipline, loyalty, and commitment to service, values he carried with him throughout his life.

A well-respected man, Reginald was known for his quick wit and infectious sense of humor. He loved to crack jokes and was often the life of any gathering, bringing laughter and light wherever he went. He was a true stand-up man, hardworking, dependable, and someone his family and friends could always count on.

Above all, Reginald was a devoted family man. He deeply loved his children and took great pride in being a father, but he found his greatest joy in being a grandfather. His grandchildren brought him immense happiness, and he treasured every moment spent with them. His love, guidance, and presence will remain a lasting legacy in their lives.

He leaves behind his beloved spouse, Juliet Howell; his children, Tiara Young, Michelle Joppy, Latyshya Young, Krystal Young, Reginald Young, Jr., Kendel Young, and Julius Ford; and his siblings, Brian Young, Robert Young, and Kimberly Young. He was a proud and loving grandfather to William Armwood V, Paris Sample, James Cohran Jr., Tristian Cohran, Darrius Armwood II, Jace Amos, Shane Cohran, and Rayne Young.

Reginald was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Young; father, John Young; daughter, Kimberly Young; and sister, Pamela Gunn.
