Rhenda Floyce Goins

Rhenda Floyce Goins, aged 71, passed away on January 27, 2026, in New Orleans, LA. Born on February 25, 1955, Rhenda lived a life marked by devotion to her family and community.
Rhenda's warmth, kindness, and loving nature were the cornerstone of her existence. She was deeply committed to her faith, finding solace and strength in her involvement with St. Luke African Methodist Episcopal Church. Her dedication to spirituality was matched by her joy in caring for her grandbabies, Jordin Marcel and Jamyra Marcel, who brought immense happiness to her life.
She leaves behind her daughters, Barbara Smith and Gloria Goins, and granddaughter, Racquel Newell Jeter. Rhenda was a beacon of love and care for all who knew her and will be profoundly missed.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate her life will be held at St. Luke African Methodist Episcopal Church, 2500 Louisa St., New Orleans, LA 70117, on February 3, 2026, at 1 PM, with Pastor Gerald Nettles officiating. The burial will be private.
In remembrance of Rhenda's spirit of generosity, the family requests that donations be made to a charitable organization in need, honoring her legacy of kindness and community support.
