Ricardo Valadez, aged 66, passed away on March 6, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on November 2, 1959, Ricardo spent his early years in Del Rio, Texas, before relocating to the Dallas-Fort Worth area as a teenager to pursue a career that would span over three decades in the communications industry. He was a dedicated employee at JMB Communications, a place he considered more like a family than a mere workplace.
Ricardo was deeply committed to his faith, actively participating in the community of St. Thomas the Apostle. He was known for his exceptional dedication to his home's aesthetics, particularly his yard, which was regarded as the most beautiful in the neighborhood. Each Christmas, he delighted friends and neighbors by decorating his home with an impressive display of lights and decorations. Ricardo also cherished his time with his goldendoodle, Sierra, with whom he shared a special bond, spending countless hours together.
He is predeceased by his father, Ricardo Valadez; mother, Modesta Brown; brother, Juan Ortiz; and sister, Elizabeth Gutierrez.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Kimberly Hamons; daughter, Daisy Valadez; sisters, Janet Brown-Cerna, Beverly Brown, Joanne Rodriguez, and Linda Vallego; and brothers, Joe Valdez and Raul Valadez. Ricardo also leaves behind a brother-in-law, Mark Rodriguez; and sister-in-law, Norma Ortiz; step-children, Paul Ryan Hamons and Cameron Hamons.
Ricardo will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, career, and community, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
A viewing will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Greenwood Funeral Home in the Live Oak Chapel, located at 3100 White Settlement Rd, Fort Worth, Texas 76107. His ashes will be laid to rest at a later date at Greenwood Memorial Park in the Wild Wood Oak section.
