Richard Allen Blackford III

Richard Allen Blackford III, 40, of Stamps, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, in Texarkana, Texas.
Richard was born on July 31, 1985, in Toledo, Ohio, to Richard Allen Blackford II and Theresa Comeau-Forrester.
To know him was to love him. He was always willing to help all of those around him and many thought of him as a giant teddy bear. He was a wonderful father who cherished his children and took pride in being their dad. He enjoyed playing guitar, cooking (and eating), spending time with his kids, and being around friends and family. He was a goofball who always made you smile. Rick will be missed by many.
Preceded in death by his parents, Theresa Comeau-Forrester and Richard Allen Blackford II — it’s comforting to know he is reunited with his parents.
Those left to cherish Rick’s memory are his stepfather, Earl Forrester; the mother of his children, Amanda Blackford; his children, Richard IV, Mathew, and Summer; siblings, Mark Blackford, Jordan Smith, and Marisa (Dustin) Damm-McMahan; special family friends Christina Lesnewski, Kristen Jordan, and Adam DeLauter; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Memorial Services will be held in Stamps, Arkansas, as well as in Toledo, Ohio at a later date.
