Richard Patterson Brazeale

1932 - 2025

Richard "Dick" Patterson Brazeale, 92, of Sandy Springs, GA, passed away peacefully on Nov 20, 2025
Born on December 3, 1932, in Newport, Arkansas, Richard lived a life defined by dedication—to his country, his profession, and his family. From 1951 to 1954, he proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Wedderburn, a Fletcher-class destroyer. His time in service reflected the sense of duty and commitment that would remain with him throughout his life.
After graduating from college in Milwaukee, Richard met Bobbye Anne Sanders, in South Pittsburg, Tennessee. They were married on August 30, 1960. Bobbye Anne preceded him in death on October 24, 1999.
Richard had a long and respected career as an electrical engineer before retiring. He enjoyed reading, collecting stamps and coins, and researching genealogy, taking great interest in understanding the stories and histories that shaped families—including his own.
He was a devoted father to his three children, Steve, Shela, and Molly, and a proud grandfather to six grandchildren who brought him great joy. His steady presence, quiet wisdom, and enduring love will remain a lasting legacy in the lives of those who knew him.
A graveside service will be held on March 18, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
Richard will be remembered for his integrity, intellect, and deep love for his family.
