New London, CT - Richard C. (Dickie) Sirois went home on February 8, 2026, at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in Waterford, CT. Richard was born on April 23, 1953, in Eagle Lake, Maine. He was the youngest child of Lawrence and Maria (Gagnon) Sirois. Richard is survived by his two sons, Chad and Carl, along with six grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Linda (Keith) Bradshaw, Ronald (Sharon) Sirois, Carole Walton, and Rita Ricciardi, along with numerous nieces and nephews who all called him Uncle Dickie.
Richard was predeceased by his loving parents, Maria and Lawrence, his siblings, Rella (Delavogias), Stella (Pelletier), Leo, Priscilla, Sylvia (Clay), Exilia (Bartlett), Gerald, Elsie (Coffin), and Norman.
Richard worked most of his life as a carpenter, taking great pride in his job and demonstrating expertise in his craft. He was well-known for his work ethic.
He was also quite a jokester. His amazing wit could make you laugh in moments of your deepest sadness. He had the uncanny ability to soothe a baby with his quiet, unassuming manner. Babies and animals so loved their "Uncle Dickie."
Richard was an avid member of the Polish Club in New London, CT. He will truly be missed by ALL who knew and loved him.
Interment will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Eagle Lake, Maine, on July 28, 2026, at 2:00 P.M.
