Richard Don Creed

Richard Don Creed of Fort Worth, TX passed away, at the age of 76 on April 10th 2026. He was born Feb 9th 1950 in Canton, TX to Glenn and Masal Creed. Richard graduated from Spruce High School where he was a talented baseball player. He earned a bachelors from UTA and a masters from UTD. Richard became a teacher and dedicated over 40 years to educating children in the local school district. He retired as head of the science department at L.D. Bell High School and was awarded achievements such as teacher of the year. He married Kay Creed June 29th, 1975 and together they shared 50 beautiful years. Richard was known for his love of music which he shared with his two sons, was passionate about supporting veterans, loved his country, history, reading, had a little known talent for building and working with his hands and adored spending time with his three grandchildren. He was the best papa ever who always let his grandkids have Ice cream before their dinner. He is an active and cherished member of Worth Baptist Church and Richard will be remembered for his kindness, patience, generosity, and unwavering support to family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Kay; his two sons, Erick (Alissa), Kyle; his three grandchildren, Jasper, Sierra and Levi; sister, Glenda Hinkel and many nephews, nieces, their children and close friends. He was preceded in death by parents Glenn and Masal Creed, niece Stacy Reyes and nephew Garry Hinkel. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Funeral Services held Friday April 17th at Worth Baptist Church, 4900 Campus Dr., Fort Worth, TX 76119, Viewing at 4pm and Service at 5pm.

Burial and Graveside service on Saturday April 18th at 11am in Canton, TX at Haven of Memories Memorial Park, 27532 State Hwy 64, Canton, TX 75103
