Richard "Dick" Hines Folger, Jr.

Richard “Dick” Hines Folger, Jr., 75, of Acworth, GA. passed away on March 20, 2026. He was born on October 23, 1950, in Albany, GA, to the late Richard Hines Folger, Sr. and the late Rella Folger Piper.

He is survived by his sisters, Patricia (Larry) Gibson of Gainesville, GA, and Teresa (Dennis) Krohn of Keswick, VA; his children, Wendy (David) Raley of Vidette, GA and Jonathan (Rebecca) Folger of Rydal, GA; five grandchildren, Paige, Brad, Hannah, Delilah, and Leo; four great-grandchildren, a niece and two nephews.

Richard enjoyed a long and dedicated career in home building, remodeling, and cabinet making, taking great pride in his craftsmanship and the homes he helped create. Outside of work, he loved spending time outdoors and was an avid fisherman, often finding peace and joy on the water. He adored his children and grandchildren, who were truly the center of his life. He was also deeply loved by his neighbors and many friends, whose lives he touched with his kindness and warm spirit.

While we celebrate his life and the legacy he leaves behind, we will forever mourn his passing. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at J.D.’s On the Lake, located at 6979 Bells Ferry Road, Canton, Georgia 30114, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
