“The measure of a person's values can best be measured by examining the life the person lives" as Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg once said. By that
simple stated measure, Richard Feinberg was a great man.
Dr. Richard A. Feinberg was born in Oakland, California. He attended public schools, graduating from Fremont High School. His educational pursuits led him to Michigan State where he earned his PhD in Psychology. After his internship at Highland Hospital in Oakland, he worked at Tri-City Mental Health in Fremont and became its director.
As a clinical psychologist in Fremont, he found great fulfillment in diagnosing and helping his clients, ultimately establishing his own private practice.
He was also a world traveler, immersing himself in foreign cultures, and a winemaker of award-winning wines.
His early exposure to card playing with his grandmother led to playing in competitive team bridge tournaments. His appreciation and enjoyment of music, especially of classical living composers, included years of taking classes and attending concerts.
He is survived by his wife, Penee, brother and sister-in-law, Irwin and C.J., their children and grandchildren, and by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Bonnee and Jeff Richer and their children and grandchildren.
Richard died on February 10th following complications from a stroke.
