Richard Phillip Frei
September 12, 1975 - February 16, 2026

Rick Frei, 50, of San Diego, California, entered eternal life February 16, 2026. He was born on September 12, 1975 in Loveland, Colorado to Ron and Terry Frei where he was raised. Growing up in Loveland, Rick enjoyed many activities with his family. Boating, jet skiing, snowmobiling and speeding around on motorized vehicles, 4-wheelers and 3-wheelers. Also cruising on his moped scooter to the salon to get his hair cut and then through the local McDonald's drive thru. Rick graduated from Loveland High School in 1993. He went on to attend Colorado State University where he graduated in 1998 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Marketing. After graduation, he moved to San Diego, where he met the love of his life, Nadeem Bridi. Rick and Nadeem have been committed to each other since February, 2000.
He and Nadeem then moved to San Antonio, Texas in 2001. There they built their lives together for over 20 years. Traveling the globe and experiencing fun adventures together. They loved entertaining and spending time with family and friends. Laughing and having fun was a part of their everyday lives. They were officially married on November 25, 2014 on a trip to San Diego, California.
Rick obtained his Texas Real Estate license in 2013. He enjoyed working with his friends at Suburban Spaces.
In late 2019, they decided to return to San Diego, California to be closer to the ocean that they so missed and loved. With another move back to San Antonio (mid 2023), then back to San Diego in late 2024 where they settled in to continue their lives together.
Rick is survived by his husband Nadeem Bridi (CA), Mom Terry Frei (Greg Tews) (CO), Brother Rob Frei (Christi) (CO), Sister Melissa Frei (Chris Purcell) (CO) and numerous extended family and very dear friends.
Rick was welcomed into Heaven by those who preceded him in death, Dad Ron Frei (CO), Grandparents Clayton and Marie Frei (CO), Grandparents Ron and Joan Tideman (CO) and numerous extended family members.

Rick lived a very full and happy life, though he left this world far, far too soon. If all our love could have saved him, he would not have passed. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A Celebration of Life for Rick will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Sunday April 12, 2026 at The Veranda, 1746 Lockhill Selma Road, San Antonio, Texas 78213. All who loved and knew Rick are welcome.
