Richard M Goldman

Richard M "Rich" Goldman, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026, in Franklin Square, New York. He was 99 years old.

Born on March 18, 1927, in Newark, New Jersey, Rich lived a long and fulfilling life marked by his intelligence, athleticism, and kindness. He grew up in The Bronx NY and raised his family in Franklin Square, NY. Throughout his nearly century-long journey, he touched the lives of many with his warmth and passion for life.

Rich shared a devoted marriage of over 74 years with his wife Florence, who survives him. Together they built a loving family that includes their three children: daughters Wendy and Nancy and son Todd. Rich was also the proud grandfather of Kevin, Kerry, Mitchell, Ryan, and Danielle. His legacy continues through his great-grandsons Robert and Logan. He was predeceased by his brother George.

Rich had a dedicated career in eduction. He was an English teacher and then school Principal.

An avid sports enthusiast and athlete, Rich had a lifelong love for tennis and excelled as a master bridge player. His sharp mind found joy in solving crossword puzzles, delving into books, and watching documentaries on world history. He also loved watching sports which included football, basketball & tennis.

Rich’s memory will be cherished by all who knew him. May his remarkable life serve as an enduring source of inspiration to those he leaves behind.
