Richard M. Majestic died on March 5, 2026 at the Eckstein Center Hospice of the Valley in Scottsdale AZ.
Richard was the son of Ben and Harriet Majestic and brother of James Jordan, all of whom predeceased him. He is survived by: his children, Tammi Majestic Marquis, Jarrod Majestic, Jaimee Majestic, his sisters Eileen Polito, Karen Majestic Powell, and MaryAnne Majestic as well as grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by family members who have supported him, especially during times of his medical challenges, Bill Powell, Rich Polito, Lisa Burke and Belinda Majestic.
Richard was born in Pittsburgh PA and grew up in Terrace Village and Beechview. He attended South Hills Catholic High School, followed by Youngstown University and the University of Pittsburgh.
Richard started his career in construction working as a day laborer for a family construction firm in Pittsburgh and progressed to a management position with this company. He remained in Pittsburgh for several more years until he accepted an executive position with Kitchell Construction in Newport Beach CA. He remained in CA working for a few other companies, the last of which was PR Construction where he stayed until his retirement in 2014. After retirement he relocated to Scottsdale AZ to spend time with family.
During his life, Richard was an avid runner and marathoner and loved spending time on the beaches of CA, most notably Newport Beach. He remained a diehard Steelers fan as well as a Pitt Panthers fan and maintained a subscription to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette to keep up on all the sports news. His friends from Beechview will remember him for his ability to eat the hottest wings on the menu at the Huddle in Beechview without flinching and for racing his Dodge Challenger on Canton Street and Boustead Ave in the early mornings hours to terrify his passengers. Good times!
A family memorial will be held in Newport Beach CA at a future time.
