Richard (Rich) Moore, 62, passed away on January 4, 2026, in PA Furnace, Pennsylvania. Born on September 30, 1963, in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, Rich lived a life marked by curiosity, craftsmanship, and a deep love for his family.
He graduated in 1982 from Duncanville High School in Duncanville, Texas. From an early age, Rich displayed a natural talent for mechanics and engineering. Whether it was a car engine or a remote-controlled aircraft, he had an uncanny ability to understand how things worked—and more importantly, how to fix them. He became the go-to person for anything broken. His hands were rarely idle; if something needed repair or improvement, he was already on the job.
Rich's passion extended beyond fixing things—he had a particular love for working on anything with a motor. He spent countless hours flying remote control airplanes, helicopters, and drones. This hobby wasn't just a personal pastime; it became a way for him to connect with others. He found great joy in teaching these skills to those around him, sharing both his knowledge and his enthusiasm.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy Moore; his parents, Dick and Kathy Moore; his son Ryan Moore and daughter-in-law Scotti Moore; and his cherished grandchildren Lincoln and Hadley Moore, his brother Doug and wife Gail, and his sister LeeAnn and partner Patti. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He had a bold spirit and sensitive soul, he loved his people fiercely. Richard leaves behind not only memories but also the legacy of things made better by his hands—machines restored to life and people inspired by his guidance.
