The Family of Richard Christian Morris of Ventura, CA, is saddened to announce his sudden passing on October 31,2025 at the age of 72.
Chris as he was known, was born July 1, 1953, to Richard Earl and Janet Ellen Morris at the CBC Naval Base in Port Hueneme California and was the youngest of 5 children.
Chris was a 35-year retiree of the Southern California United Food & Commercial Union. Working most of his years at Vons in Ojai as the dairy/deli Manager.
He was very active most of his life and loved the outdoors. He spent many years camping and being out on a lake. He worked at Lake Casitas for a few years after he retired to keep himself busy outdoors.
He enjoyed riding his bike, learning history, watching TV and listening to music. Some of his favorite bands were Steely Dan, The Doobie Brothers & The Beatles. His favorite TV shows were M.A.S.H & The Three Stooges.
Chris loved spending time with his 3 grandchildren and did so often.
He is survived in death by his daughter Janet Ellen Esparza, son in-law Victor Esparza, his grandchildren Teagan Morgan, Dexter Morris & Penelope Morris, his daughter in-law Naomi Morgan, sisters Ricki French, Hope Baugher, & April Heck & brother in-law Charles Heck.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, his baby sister Cheri' Morris, ex-wife Alexa Gail & son Joshua C. Morris.
