August 1, 1932 - June 26, 2023

Richard Arthur Neddo, born August 1, 1932, in Watertown, New York, passed away on June 26, 2023.

Richard earned his degree in electrical engineering from Syracuse University and spent much of his career working in aviation and flight simulation, including work connected to the SR-71 Blackbird program. He worked for Link Miles, a role that allowed him to travel extensively and meet people from many walks of life—experiences he greatly enjoyed sharing through stories at home, often while enjoying his cigars and Scotch.

In the late 1990s, Richard relocated to Florida, where he co-founded Megabytes Computers and Networking Inc. He remained actively involved in the company until retiring in 2015.

Richard loved learning new things and had a lifelong curiosity about how things worked. He enjoyed tinkering in the garage, fixing what was broken, and taking things apart to understand them better. He was also very gifted in Mathematics. He had a passion for film photography in his younger years.

He was married to his beloved wife, Dale Helena Neddo, and shared a life grounded in commitment, loyalty, and family.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Dale Helena Neddo; his parents, Ethel May Fournier and Alfred Neddo; and his brothers, Alfred Neddo and Donald Neddo.

He is survived by his daughter, Kelly, and his sons, Michael and Christopher; his grandson Tyler Neddo and great-grandson Theo; his granddaughter Amanda Lafarnara-Huemoeller and great-granddaughter Abigail; and his grandson Luke.

He will be remembered as someone who was always learning, always fixing, and always interested in how things worked. To his daughter Kelly, he was simply Dad—and she was always his Lil Lamb.

A celebration of life will be held for mom and dad together in Jacksonville at a later date and we will be taking mom and dad's ashes to New York State this year to bury in the family plot.

His daughter has had a difficult time accepting his death and regrets not publishing this sooner.
