Richard David "Rick" Orr, 73, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on January 13, 2026, in Bentonville, Arkansas, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on December 10, 1952, on Coronado Island in San Diego, California, Rick lived a life grounded in devotion to his family, his Christian faith, and his work.
On February 28, 1976, Rick married the love of his life, Elizabeth "Liz" Reno. Together, they built a life rooted in unwavering love and commitment that spanned five decades. A proud father of five, Rick was affectionately known as the G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time) for his wholehearted dedication, guidance, humor, and selfless acts of service.
Rick was a hardworking, kind, humble, and simple man who found joy in life's everyday pleasures. He was deeply patriotic and loved breakfast, The Beach Boys, country westerns, and proudly supported the Arkansas Razorbacks. Above all else, Rick's greatest joy came from his faith and from his children and grandchildren, who were truly the center of his world.
He is lovingly remembered and forever cherished by his wife, Liz; daughters Carly Anzalone and her husband Chris, and Courtney Orr and her partner Cornell Williams; sons Chase Orr and Seth Orr; his cherished grandchildren, Ethan Anzalone, Angelina Anzalone, and Colbie Layne Williams, and his beloved furry companion, Willow.
Rick's legacy also lives on through the countless lives he touched as a coach and mentor throughout the many years spent on the ball fields. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Colby Shane Orr; his parents, Carl and Judy Orr; and his brother, Rodney Orr.
Professionally, Rick was a residential builder who took great pride in his work and in the homes he helped create for others.
Services celebrating Rick's life will be held graveside at 1:00 p.m. on February 12, 2026, at Visalia Cemetery in Visalia, California.
