Richard S. Polovick, of Groveland, MA, formerly of Chelsea, passed away surrounded by the love of his family.
Richard was a lifelong resident of Chelsea, Massachusetts, a city he proudly called home for most of his life, before recently moving to Groveland. He spent many years as a dedicated employee of Hub Foods in Chelsea, where he was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and friendly presence.
Above all else, Richard was a devoted family man. He was a proud father and an even prouder papa to his grandsons, who brought him endless joy and laughter. His love for his family was unwavering, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Richard was also a passionate Boston Bruins fan, faithfully cheering on his team through every season. Whether watching a game or talking hockey, his enthusiasm was unmistakable.
He was predeceased by his mother, Elizabeth (Murphy) Polovick; his father, Ernest Hewitt; his stepfather, Fred Polovick; his sister, Mary Antle, and her husband Roger; and his brother, John Polovick, and wife Darlene.
Richard is survived by his loving sister, Linda Bartlett, and her husband David; his daughter, Ashley Freccero, her wife April, and their son Mason; his daughter, Erika Dube, her partner Tucker Watson, and their sons Sawyer and William; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
Richard will be remembered for his loyalty, his love of family, his pride in where he came from, and the warmth he brought into the lives of those who knew him. His legacy lives on in the family he loved so dearly.
