Richard Sandoval, 72, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026. Born on December 17, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Antonio and Mary Sandoval, Richard lived a life filled with love and cherished memories.

A devoted husband to his loving wife, Sharon Sandoval, Richard was the cornerstone of his family. He is survived by his children: Samantha Reyes, Patricia Sandoval, and Rickie Sandoval; his beloved grandchildren: Jillian Garza, Teresa Sandoval, Vinny Sandoval, Mia Reyes, Amaya Reyes, Richie Reyes, Ava Reyes, Brandon Hall, Olivia Hall, and Sophia Pratt; and his great-grandchildren: Annaise Marchan, Abrielle Garza, Anthony Garza, Robert Sandoval, and Aryanna Sandoval. Richard is also survived by his siblings Tony Sandoval, Antoinette Alcala, Carol Albanese, Mary Ann Baxter, Diane Medina, and Michael Sandoval; as well as many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Patty. Though their absence was deeply felt during his lifetime, he carried their memory with him always.

Richard had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found great happiness in fishing—an activity that allowed him to connect with nature and create lasting memories with loved ones. He also had a passion for treasure hunting at garage sales. These simple joys brought him countless moments of delight over the years.

Above all else, Richard will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family. He cherished every moment spent with them and took great pride in their accomplishments. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched with his kindness and devotion.

Richard's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. May the love he shared bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
