Rick (Frederick C) Boyle of Venice, FL formerly of Pennsauken, NJ died on December 27, 2025 at the age of 74. He was the beloved husband of Winnie Boyle and dear father to Rick Boyle and his wife Denise of Fort Lauderdale, FL. He is also survived by his brother John (Jack) Boyle and wife Margaret of Wyomissing, PA and his uncle Charles Boyle of Ossining, NY, nephews and nieces. He was a graduate of Camden County College. Rick had a road service business and a roofing business. He joined the local ambulance service when he was a teenager to help others. He coached Little League Baseball for many years in Merchantville, NJ. After quitting smoking and losing over 100 pounds on Weight Watchers, he became a leader and trainer. His brother Jack encouraged him as he began making healthier choices and introduced him to long distance cycling. He set a goal to complete 100 century (100 mile) bicycle rides but was only able to complete 98 before his health began to decline. Rick had a passion for helping others and sharing God’s word. How do you measure a man? What do you consider success? The true measure is how many people he had a positive effect on and how many people’s lives are better because they crossed paths with him. Rick held other jobs through the years and was always striving to help others. He was an elder at Collingswood Church of Christ for many years, where he especially enjoyed teaching and working with the youth, before retiring and moving to Florida. In 2018, a documentary was made about the changes he had made after a childhood with difficulties, “Chain of Life, The Rick Boyle Story” which he hoped would help others in their journey through life. Donations in his memory may be made to Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort, 410 Allied Drive, Nashville, TN 37211.
