Ricky Alan Lane a devoted husband, father and loyal friend, Passed away Sunday November 30th, 2025 in Houston Texas. He was born and a lifelong resident of Port Arthur Texas, and an honorary resident of Sabine Pass Texas. Rick's life was marked by hard work, a love for the outdoors, and a love for family and friends.
Ricky's love for the outdoors and being on the water spurred his work as a shrimper, mud minnow bait seller, and as the owner of Luck In A Bucket Bait Shop. He had many family and friends work for him over the years on the water. Later he opened and worked with his wife Deronda and his children at the bait shop.
He first married Mary Ilene nee Macon and they together had children Jared Alan and Mary Johannah Lane.
Later on Ricky met and married Deronda Cummings on February 20th 2010. Creating a blended family with children James Michael Cummings and Joel Marshall Bronson. This blended family spent time together in the bait shop and on the water with Rick.
Ricky is preceded in death by his loving parents Richard Allen Lane Sr. and Rose Marie nee Cricchio. He is survived by his siblings Richard Allen Lane Jr. and Rosalie Marie Brown. His children Jared Alan Lane, Mary Johannah Lane, James Michael Cummings and Joel Marshall Bronson. Also nephews Vidik Smith, Kameron Lane and niece Kelsea Burns.
Ricky will always be remembered for his hard work ethic, for being unabashedly straight forward, and for always giving a helping hand. He took pride in loving and providing for his family.
