Rita G. (Antonioli) Avola Rita G. (Antonioli) Avola was born in Boston to Elena (Cianfrocca) and Carlo Antonioli. She grew up in East Boston and attended the Trade School for Girls before beginning work at Whiting's Milk Company in Charlestown. Rita met the love of her life, Charlie, on a blind date after he returned from military service. They married soon after and eventually settled in Reading, where they happily raised six children. Rita dedicated her life to her family, always putting her children first. She also worked alongside her husband at their business, Jean Palmer Company Dry Cleaners, and later took a part-time job with Weight Watchers, where she enjoyed connecting with others. In retirement, Rita found joy in volunteering at Mission of Deeds in Reading. As grandchildren arrived, she and Charlie remained deeply involved in their lives, rarely missing a game, recital, or celebration. They cherished their time together, especially while traveling and making memories as a couple and with family. She is predeceased by her husband, Cologero "Charlie" Avola. She leaves behind her loving children Charles "Chuck" Avola and his wife Cheryl of Northbridge, RitaEllen Kaulbach and her husband Andy of East Andover, NH, Carl Avola and his wife Susan of Lunenburg, Stephen Avola and his wife Helena of Beverly, Richard Avola of Clinton, and Michele Pasciuto and her husband Carl of Woburn. Cherished grandmother of fifteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Lane Funeral Home, 760 Main St., (Rte. 38) WINCHESTER on Monday, October 20th from 10am-12pm. It will be followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Mary's Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester at 12:30pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in Rita's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
