Rita Gayle Kruczek, age 79, passed away peacefully in the countryside near San Luis, Colombia on January 6, 2026. She was born on January 16, 1946 to Rita Gayle Ribant and Edward Lewellyn Solomon in Port Huron, Michigan.

Rita was married to the love of her life, Richard Kruczek, sharing many adventures together until his passing. They built a home rooted in faith, generosity, and hospitality. She was a loving mother to Byron Kruczek and Kimberly (Todd) Martinson, and a proud grandmother to Max, Natalie, Adam, and Alina. Rita dedicated her life to loving her family and making anyone who entered her home feel welcome. She was known for her exceptional cooking and her table was often a place of joy and laughter.
