Rita M. Stamper

Rita M. (Sullivan) Stamper, age 85, of Quincy, died peacefully, Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Hancock Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Rita was born, raised, and educated in Boston. She lived in Quincy for nearly twenty years, previously in Newport, Va. for ten years, and earlier in Boston.

Rita was a homemaker. She also worked in food service, including at the former Old Country Buffet in Virginia.

Beloved wife of the late Walter W. Stamper.

Loving daughter of the late Cornelius and Anna (Blondiet) Sullivan.

The last of eight siblings, she was predeceased by Cornelius Sullivan, Anna Sullivan, Charles Sullivan, Helen Shalkauskas, Theresa Sullivan, Walter Sullivan, and John Sullivan.

Memorial Funeral Services will be conducted at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, on Saturday, March 21, at 3 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Memorial Visitation prior to the service from 2 - 3 p.m.
