It is with immense sadness we announce, Robert Carl "Bob" Barth, 72, beloved and devoted husband, father, Pappo, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, of Winters, CA, lost his hard fought and courageous 7 year battle with cancer on October 25, 2025.
Bob and Jennie were in the process of moving to their dream home in Oregon. He was surrounded by his loving family, and he is finally at peace and rest in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Bob was born on December 26, 1952 in Pasadena, CA to LeRoy Harvey and Catherine Louise Barth. Bob's family moved from Lancaster, CA to Winters, CA when he was six years old. He attended Holy Rosary Catholic School in Woodland, then Bellermine College Preparatory in San Jose. After some college at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA, Bob returned to Yolo County, working at Sambos, and for Wes Rose as a beet digger, before returning to the Home Ranch to continue his farm life upbringing as a partner of L.H. Barth and Sons with his Dad, Roy, and his oldest brother, Al.
In April of 1985, he met the love of his life, Jennie Dravis, and their storybook romance began. They were married in Hawaii and spent their lives raising their children and serving the Lord at Home Church (formerly New Testament Church). They loved to travel and had many adventures together. Their love of live music found them attending many concerts of their favorite bands and cover bands.
When the farm closed in 1997, Bob then began a career as a truck driver for Yolo Ice and Creamery and True Value, until a back injury sent him back to school. Bob became a Special Building Inspector and worked for Consolidated Engineering Labs, based in the Bay area. He was the lead inspector on several prominent hospital projects; John Muir Hospital Walnut Creek, Oakland Kaiser, Stanford Medical Center Palo Alto, Mercy General Sacramento, and California Pacific Medical Center San Francisco, his final project before retiring in 2018.
Six months later he was diagnosed with bladder cancer.
Bob was known for his jovial and fun loving personality, and bigger than life laugh. He was always willing to lend a helping hand-anytime, anywhere. He truly had a servants heart. His love for the Lord and music led him to becoming the sound engineer at Home Church for many years. Bob was a "jack-of-all-trades" and could fix just about anything.
His favorite place to be was driving a tractor, or harvester, or any other farming equipment, where he was working the land.
He is survived by his wife and soulmate of 40 years, Jennie; children, Katie, T.J., Domonique, and Jennisah and spouse Colin; grandchildren, Logan, Ivy, Taylor, Owen, Lucy, David, Elijah, Noah, Llewella, and Frances; and great granddaughter, Teagan. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Louise Barth and dearest and beloved nephew, Bjorn Barth.
He is survived by his five siblings and spouses, Alfred Barth (Gitta), Stanley Barth (Leslie), Steven Barth (Evelyn), Mary Louise Barth, and Thomas Barth (Shirley) and many nephews and nieces and their children, cousins, and many many wonderful friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, March 15, 2026 at Park Winters, 27850 County Road 26, Winters, CA, at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Fourth and Hope in Woodland, CA, Samaritan's Purse, St Jude's, or the Wounded Warrior Project.
