Robert Marc Cooper, lovingly known as Bob, was born in San Francisco, California, and passed away in Dallas, Texas, on January 18, 2026.
He lived a full life filled with unforgettable stories, humor, and a deep love for his family.
Bob is survived by his children, Troy Magness, Lea Guiler, and Rachel Guy; his children in law, Katherine Magness, Greg Guiler, and Ray Guy; and his grandchildren, Kelsey and Dayton Magness, Cooper and Addilyn Guiler, and George and Dean Guy. He is also survived by Shauna Shamburger, his wife of 32 years and friend for life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Libby and Danny Cooper, his son Jay Magness, and his brother, Jerry Cooper.
Bob approached life on his own terms. He was confident and strong willed and left a lasting impression wherever he went. He loved his family deeply and took great pride in his children and grandchildren. Music was always part of his life, and he sang often. He traveled widely, lived in many places around the world, and was known for the remarkable stories he told and the many people he seemed to know everywhere he went. Though he could be larger than life, he left this world as sweet as when he entered it.
Bob will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
