Robert (Bob) Ballantyne Isbister

Bob passed in Sooke, BC on March 29 with his dear wife, Caren McTavish, at his side along with Jess and Jane.
He is also survived by his step-daughter Jessica Potts (Brent Porter), their children Lucas and Dominic of Niagara, Ontario; his daughter Jennifer Isbister and granddaughter Bree Isbister of Calgary, Alberta; and his sister Jane (Helen) of Kingston, Ontario.
Bob initially practiced law in Calgary from 1974 to 1988 when he embarked on a two-year sabbatical that included time at the Haven on Gabriola Island and extensive travel throughout Asia. Upon his return he settled in Victoria and resumed the practice of law until his retirement in 2013.
In 2018 he moved to the Harbourside cohousing community in Sooke where he met his wife Caren then moved to the West Wind Harbour cohousing community in early 2021 where he enjoyed many happy years.
