Robert E. Cain passed away in his home on December 18, 2025 in Charlotte, North Carolina. He leaves behind a loving wife Phyllis of 55 years and two Sons Rubin Cain (Carolyn) of Lu Verne, Iowa and Paul Cain (Julie) of Knoxville, Tennessee.
Along with, three Grandchildren and one Great Grandchild.
A proud veteran, Robert served honorably in the United States Air Force and fought in the Vietnam War. After his military service, he pursued higher education and graduated with honors from Indiana State University. He later dedicated over 25 years as a volunteer at a local homeless shelter, always striving to make a difference in the lives of others.
He was known for his ever-present smile, sense of humor and ability to brighten any room with his jokes and warmth.
Outside his commitments, Robert found joy in nature, woodworking, playing cards and hunting. His respect for others and zest for life left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
In accordance with his wishes, a private wake and burial will be held for immediate family members.
