Robert Kenneth Carter

Robert Kenneth Carter passed away peacefully on November 7th at Advocate Christ Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 39.

Born on July 30, 1986, in Romeoville, Illinois, Robert was the beloved son of Lori (John) Fowler and Robert (Ann) Carter. He attended Romeoville High School and graduated with the Class of 2004. Robert spent most of his childhood in Romeoville, where he built lasting friendships and memories.

He is survived by his maternal grandmother, Monica Moesch, with whom he shared a very special bond; his brothers, Kevin Carter and Michael (Miranda) Powers; and his sister, Katelyn (Sam) Newill. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles: Earl (Cassandra) Moesch, Vicki McCollough, Sylvia Hopkins, Thomas (Susan) Carter, Elizabeth (Bill) Morris, and Jennifer (Joe) Damato; along with numerous cousins and many dear friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Earl Moesch Sr.; his paternal grandparents, William and Sylvia Carter; and his uncles, William R. Carter Jr. and James Hopkins.

His departure is a loss too deep to measure, and his absence will be felt every day. Robert was a loyal friend, a devoted son, and a loving brother. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the warmth he brought to those around him.

Illinois Cremation Centers of Lombard, IL, has been entrusted with arrangements. A celebration of Robbie’s life will be held in Morris, IL, on July 25th for his 40th birthday.
