His dedication to flying began in his early teens when he would fly with his father at Nutmeg Soaring Association in Canaan, CT. Bob then worked as a charter pilot and flight instructor at Tweed-New Haven Airport in East Haven, CT. He earned his multi-engine ratings at Action Air in Groton-New London Airport.

Bob re-located to Florida where he was a pilot for Global Air Ambulance at
St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport. Bob moved on to flying as a corporate pilot for Jabil, Inc., also at St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport. From there, he became a pilot for AirTran Airways, which was later acquired by Southwest Airlines in 2011.

In his travels, Bob fell in love with Nevada and transferred domicile to Harry Reid International in Las Vegas, NV. He built his dream home on a golf course in Henderson, NV, where he raised his boys and provided a beautiful life for them.

In 2022, Bob finally achieved his dream when he was promoted to Southwest Airlines 737 Captain.
