Robert A. DiGiusto, age 87, of Pembroke, formerly of Quincy, died peacefully, Sunday, April 12, 2026 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, surrounded by his loving family.

Robert was born in Quincy, to the late Frank and Irma (DelGreco) DiGiusto. Raised and educated there, he was a graduate of Quincy Vocational Technical School, Class of 1957, where he studied pastry and starred on the track and tennis teams.

Bob lived in Pembroke for the past eighteen years, previously in Quincy for all of his life.

Bob served as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps during the late 1950s and early 1960s, and was especially proud to have served as a guard at the Pentagon. He was awarded the Good Conduct Award, Marksmanship Badge, Rifle Cal. .30, and Marksmanship Badge, Pistol Cal. .45.

Bob was employed as a baker for Montilio's Baking Company for over three decades and went on to work for Roche Bros. Supermarkets for thirty-three years until his retirement in 2025. He was extremely talented and loved sharing his baked goods with family and friends.

He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus for many years.

Bob was devoted to his family. He loved baking, playing cards with his grandchildren, attending Sunday dinners with family, and playing the lottery.

Beloved husband of the late Patricia L. "Pat" (Connolly) DiGiusto.

Devoted father of Ann M. Buczek and her husband Robert of Bridgewater, the late Lisa A. Gallo and her surviving husband Kevin of Moultonborough, N.H.

Loving grandfather of Christina L. Ferreira and her husband Mark, Jacqueline M. Langlais and her husband Joe, Robert F. Buczek, Jr., and Elizabeth A. Buczek.

Cherished great grandfather of Anthony, Candice, Brooklyn, Carleigh, and Michaela.

Dear brother of Richard DiGiusto and his wife Ann of Braintree, the late Annette Mariani and her late husband Robert "Steve".

Brother-in-law of Theresa Brennan and her husband Kevin of Attleboro, and the late Sister Ann Therese Connolly, CDP.

Bob is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and their families.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, on Sunday, April 19, from 2 - 5 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint Joseph's Church, 550 Washington Street, Quincy, on Monday, April 20, at 10 a.m. Interment, with military honors, to follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
