Robert Angelo DiPersio, lovingly known as “Uncle Bob,” passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, in Dade City, Florida, at the age of 79. Born on October 8, 1946, in Hudson, Massachusetts, to Angelo and Viola (Marini) DiPersio, Bob lived a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Bob graduated from Hudson High School in 1965 and soon after enlisted in the United States Navy. His time in the Navy was a testament to his dedication and service to his country. Following his military service, Bob built a life centered around family, friends, and his passions.
He married the love of his life, Paulette Buxton DiPersio, with whom he shared 37 wonderful years of marriage. Together they created a loving home filled with warmth and joy. Bob was a proud father to his son Peter DiPersio and a proud grandfather to his grandson Trace DiPersio. He was predeceased by his beloved son Chris DiPersio but carried Chris’s memory with him always.
Bob had a deep bond with his siblings. He is survived by his sisters Angela Jackson and Karen Henderson. He was predeceased by his brother Thomas DiPersio. His nieces Amy Phillips and Heather Chagnon held a special place in his heart; he treasured their relationship deeply.
An avid golfer from an early age, Bob spent countless weekends playing at Stow Acres in Stow, Massachusetts, alongside his father. This passion for golf continued throughout his life as he played regularly with his son Chris and later became part of a team that gathered every weekend at the Highlands in Florida after retiring. These moments on the course brought him immense joy and camaraderie with friends who shared his love for the game.
Before moving to Florida, Bob also participated in Bass Pro fishing tournaments—a testament to his adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors. In addition to these hobbies, he was an exceptional cook who carried on cherished family recipes passed down from his mother and grandmother. Bob delighted in sharing these special dishes with neighbors in his community, creating bonds over meals that were made with love.
Bob’s personality was as vibrant as it was kindhearted. Known for being caring, fun-loving, and compassionate, he touched the lives of everyone who knew him. Whether offering advice or lending a helping hand, Bob was always there for those around him. His infectious laugh and warm presence left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The admiration and respect he garnered within his community were unparalleled. Those who knew him will forever remember the joy he brought into their lives and the void left by his passing will be deeply felt.
In addition to Paulette, Peter, Trace, Angela, Karen, Amy, Heather, and many nieces, nephews, grandniece and grandnephews and others whose lives he enriched along the way—Bob leaves behind countless memories that will be cherished forever.
