Robert Dean Hazel, 84, passed away on December 27, 2025, at home in State College, PA. Born on March 7, 1941, in Aaronsburg, PA, he was a lifelong resident of Pennsylvania, cherished for his deep devotion to his family and his passion for life.
Robert attended Penns Valley High School in Spring Mills, PA, and spent his career working at several respected local businesses, including Meadow Pride Diary, Wise Potato Chips, Houser Vending, Corvette America, and Deibler Machining.
A true family man, Robert's greatest joy was spending time with his loved ones. He is survived by his wife, Roseanna Green of State College, PA; his children, Kimberly (Kyle) Crossman of Bellefonte, PA, Michael (Carol) Hazel of Spring Mills, PA, Bobbie (Timothy) Deibler of Bellefonte, PA, and Angela (Piney) Walk of Tyrone, PA. He was a proud grandfather to thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sisters, Marjorie Floyd of Harrisburg, PA, and June (Lanny) Owens of Boalsburg, PA.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Vilas Dean Hazel and Regina Pearl Tharp, both of Centre Hall, PA; his brother, Thomas Lee Hazel of State College, PA; and his brother-in-law, James Floyd of Harrisburg, PA.
Beyond his family, Robert had a passion for cars. He loved attending car shows, visiting automotive museums, and browsing flea markets. He also relished traveling and camping in his motorhome, exploring new places and creating lasting memories.
A memorial service for Robert will be held at the convenience of the family, honoring his life and legacy. Robert's life was a testament to the values of family, hard work, and the pursuit of ones interests with enthusiasm. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.
