Robert Francis Jensen

Robert Francis Jensen, Age 61, of Parrish, FL, passed away on January 26, 2026, unexpectedly while working in Laredo, TX.

Robert was born 8/28/1964 in St. Paul, MN, the son of Jim Jensen and Millie Hostrawser.

Robert attended St. John’s University for Accounting, before continuing and graduating from the University of Minnesota for Civil Engineering. He then completed a 2 year Construction Program from the Dunwoody Institute.

Robert and Dalia Gonzalez met on October 3rd, 1991 at a restaurant called Mustard’s in Chicago. It was love at first sight. They married on 2/14/1999 in Brooklyn Park, MN. They were married for 27 years and together for 34 years. Ironically, the mustard seed is the smallest seed that grows into the biggest tree. Similarly for the Jensen’s, their seed would grow into a beautiful tree of life they shared for many years.

Robert had a long, illustrious career working in construction. He worked as a Project Manager for Lehrer McGovern Bovis, where he helped work on a $5 billion project in London, England. He owned his own construction company, Unicorp, for 20 years. He most recently worked for Catamount Constructors as a Superintendent.

Robert was an active member of Bayside Community Church. Robert also devoted his time and resources to several charities including St. Jude and The Blessing Bags Project of Bradenton, FL. Despite his busy schedule, Robert always made the time to give back to his community and provide opportunities to restore the hope and dignity in people's lives, especially children.

Robert had a variety of hobbies and interests. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and watching sports. Robert was the biggest MN Vikings fan and Chicago Bears fan. While he had so many hobbies, Robert especially loved traveling with his family. He traveled the globe, visiting historical sites and admiring notable architecture from a vast array of cultures.

Remaining to cherish Robert’s memory are spouse, Dalia; children, Kyle (Eve), Raquel, and Ian; grandchild, Hunter; parents, Jim (Peggy) and Millie (Tom); brother, Tim (Katie); sisters, Taylor (Colin), Samantha, Jeanne (Matt), Michelle (Rick), and Colleen (Eddie); and his two loved dogs Teddy and Micky.

Preceding Robert in death are grandparents, Robert Sr., Arbella “Sis”, Leroy, and Helen.

Public memorial service will be held on 2/21/2026 at 2:00pm at Bayside Community Church, 9505 Moccasin Wallow Rd, Parrish, FL 34219. This will be followed by a private celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
