Robert Reeves King, 67, passed away on January 28, 2026, in Hagerstown, Maryland. Born on December 25, 1958, in Baltimore, Maryland, Robert lived a life marked by service, adventure, and a deep appreciation for the world around him.
A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Robert achieved the rank of Corporal (E-4) during his time in service. His dedication and discipline were recognized through several honors, including the Rifle Expert Badge, Meritorious Mast, and the Good Conduct Medal. These accolades reflected not only his skill but also his unwavering commitment to excellence and integrity.
After his military service, Robert continued to live with purpose and passion. He had an enduring love for travel that took him to many places, but none captured his heart quite like Puebla, Mexico. The vibrant culture and rich history of the region resonated deeply with him. Whether exploring new destinations or returning to familiar favorites, Robert found joy in discovering the beauty of the world.
Photography was one of Robert’s favorite ways to capture and share those experiences. With a keen eye for detail and a love for storytelling through images, he preserved memories that spoke volumes about his perspective on life. He also enjoyed spending time on the golf course—where patience met precision—and following his favorite sports teams in baseball and basketball.
In retirement, Robert embraced each day with gratitude and enthusiasm. Free from routine obligations, he devoted himself fully to the hobbies he loved most. His days were filled with meaningful moments—whether traveling, photographing landscapes and people, or simply enjoying a game or round of golf.
Robert’s family held a special place in his heart. He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Lily Tassou; his daughter Megan Rivera and her spouse Efrain Rivera; and his cherished grandchildren Efrain Rivera Jr. and Araceli Rivera. He is also survived by his siblings Joyce Rogers, Harry Tassou, Angela Bramucci, and Kimberly King.
He was preceded in death by his father Reeves (Robert King) and his brother Mike King.
Robert’s legacy lives on through those who knew him—as a Marine who served with honor, as a traveler who embraced life’s journey with open arms, and as a man who found joy in both quiet moments behind a camera lens and spirited cheers from the sidelines.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and inspiration to all who hear his story. A Service will be held on February 2, 2026 at Brandenburg & Stein Funeral Parlor 3045 Baltimore Pike . This is a private service for family only.
