Robert Francis Legault

It is with deep sadness we announce that Robert "Rob" Legault, 61, left us peacefully on March 16th surrounded by family. Born to the late Roland and Gilberte Legault and raised in East Hartford, CT. He grew up the youngest of 7 children. As a kid he could be found fishing, at the park playing kickball and riding his bike usually with 2 of his sisters. In his early 20s he met his wife Holly and her daughter. In 1991 Rob and Holly welcomed a son Robert Jr. to their family. Rob and Holly always enjoyed an adventure and a good time. They took their family on many camping trips, where he would teach Rj to fish, ride a bike, quad and cut wood for a fire. Later in life Rob and Holly would spend many days on the Connecticut River on their boat, he loved the outdoors. Rob spent most of his career working in maintenance as a dedicated employee, where there was no project ever too big for him, he retired from the town of Bloomfield and went on to work for the town of Somers for a short time.
He is survived by his wife Holly whom he loved deeply for 38 years, their son Rj whom he remained proud of throughout his life, his stepdaughter Kristen that he loved as his own and her husband Isaac, 2 special granddaughters London and Sienna. His siblings Diane and John Nelson, Steven and Dana Legault, Wayne and Barbara Legault, Janice and Michael West, Jackie and Thom Hirth and Tom Legault (predeceased); along with many special nieces and nephews and so many friends. Although his time with us was shorter than we wish, we will find peace in knowing he is no longer in pain. We will celebrate his life on April 2nd at Maneely's in South Windsor from 5-8pm family and friends are welcome.
