Robert "Bob" Loper, age 85, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026, in San Diego, California. Born on October 19, 1940, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Bob lived a life marked by dedication, service, and a deep appreciation for the world around him.
Bob proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy for 30 years before retiring with honor. Following his distinguished military career, he continued his commitment to service by working for the United States Postal Service for 22 years. His strong work ethic and sense of duty were evident throughout his life and left an enduring legacy.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Bob was a man of many passions. He had a profound love for nature and the outdoors, often finding joy in running, fishing, and exploring the beauty of the natural world. A lifelong enthusiast of sports and science, he also enjoyed engaging in discussions about politics, economics, and art. Above all else, Bob cherished time spent with family and friends. He was a caring father and friend whose warmth touched the lives of those around him.
