Robert J. Ruffulo

Robert J. Ruffulo age 62 of Berkeley Il passed away suddenly on Feb 4, 2026. Beloved son of the late George and Carmela Ruffulo. He is preceded in death by his siblings Michael (Judy), Maria and Jim. He is survived by his sister, Kathy and nephews Christian, Christopher and his niece Nicole Ruffulo.

Rob had many friends and some of those dear friends shared his life for almost 50 years!

After graduating from Proviso West High School, he worked in sales, purchasing, and customer service. In his free time, he pursued his true passion of sports and working with children. For almost 30 years, he was known as "Coach Rob" or "Coach Ruff "as he mentored hundreds of young athletes. He also developed sports programs in park districts and schools throughout the western suburbs of Chicago. His legacy is that he accepted these athletics where they were, taught the meaning of teamwork and to celebrate their achievements whether they were big or small. His sense of humor and contagious laugh will be truly missed.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday May 8th at 10 am at Visitation Catholic Church, 779 S York Road Elmhurst Il. Burial will be private at a later date.
