Robert "Bob" Frederick Soules, age 82, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 3, 2026, at his home in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Thomas and Deloris Rose Soules; his beloved wife of many years,
Mary Jean Soules (2016); and his daughter, Michelle Soules (1986).
He is survived by his wife, Sherri; his son, Charles; his brother, Thomas Frederick Soules; his sister, Kathy R. Eisner;
and four grandchildren who meant the world to him—Jodi Lee Morgan, Amy Michelle Berg, Katelyn Renee Soules, and Douglas Fredrick Soules.
And four great grandchildren - Claire, Marshall, Haley and Blake.
Bob was born on May 17, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from the General Motors Institute with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
While living in Flint, Michigan, he met the love of his life, Mary Jean LeBaron. Together they raised two children, Charles and Michelle, and shared more than 54 years of marriage.
Bob's career with General Motors provided many opportunities and adventures, including international assignments that took the family to
Antwerp, Belgium, in 1976 and later to Madrid, Spain, in 1980.
Upon returning to the United States, Bob and Mary made their home in Mt. Clemens, Michigan.
Bob loved fishing, boating, and spending time with friends. Nothing brought him more joy than time on the water.
He adored his grandchildren, though he insisted he was far too young to be called "Grandpa." Instead, they lovingly knew him as "Uncle Bob."
Each year, they looked forward to visiting him and the unforgettable overnight boating trips to Cedar Point Amusement Park.
After retiring, Bob moved to Florida, where he embraced the relaxed coastal lifestyle. In 2020, during the unexpected and challenging days of the COVID pandemic,
Bob found new companionship and joy when he met Sherri Ann Panuzzo. Their shared enthusiasm for life brought them closer, and they created countless memories
during weekend outings or quiet evenings at home.
They were married that year and together they settled in Port St. Lucie, where Bob enjoyed swimming in the pool, gardening, and—much to everyone's surprise—raising quails.
Bob and Sherri also shared a love for dining out at their favorite restaurants and visiting Discovery Cove.
Bob's furry companion, Bentley, was a constant source of affection and companionship, always ready to snuggle on the couch after a long day.
Bob will be remembered by his family and friends for his camaraderie, warmth, and unmistakable sense of humor.
He lived a full life marked by deep love for his family, and a joyful appreciation for time well spent with those he cared about most. He will be deeply missed but
the memories he created will live on in every story shared, every boat ride remembered, and every smile he inspired. I love you Bob, I am so broken without you.
