Robert Jacob Stone

Robert Jacob Stone, born January 26, 1934 in Ponce Inlet, Florida, left this life to join his savior in heaven on December 14, 2025. Aside from his time proudly serving in the U.S. Navy, Robert lived his entire life in the small fishing town where he was born. Like his father before him, Robert was a lifelong fisherman and sea-lover who ran fishing charters well into his 80s.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Captain Jake and Martha Stone, and sisters Reba Jane Stone, Jacquetta Cullens, and Phyllis Muth.

Robert is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Dorinda, his son Fred Stone, daughter Bobbye Ann Hoyt (Patrick), son Jay Stone, daughter Brenda Magliacane (Fred), son Jeffrey Stone, his grandchildren Lindsey Taylor (Chris), Henry Hoyt, Sydnee Magliacane, and Averie Stone, his great grandchildren Emerson and Anderson Taylor, and sisters Frances Willis (John) and Ellen Frank (Tom).

A memorial service to celebrate Robert's life will be held at Family Worship Center 4425 South Ridgewood Ave Port Orange, FL 32127 on December 20 at 11am. The service will be live-streamed for those unable to attend at fwcpo.org

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in memory of Robert.
