Robert Harold Tilghman, Jr., known affectionately as Bobby to his friends and family, unexpectedly passed away on January 23, 2026, in San Angelo, TX, at the age of 64. Born on August 29, 1961, in New Orleans, LA, Bobby was a man whose presence was marked by his loving nature, his unique sense of humor, and his thoughtful approach to life.

Bobby's life was one of joyous dedication to his beloved wife, Dawn L. Tilghman, and their adoration for each other was evident to all who knew them. Together, they built a life full of laughter and cherished memories. His legacy lives on through his children, Tiffany Hutcherson (Julian) and Robert Tilghman, III (Cayley), who will forever remember their father's wisdom, kindness, and the unconditional love he showered upon them.

Bobby took immense pride in his role as Paw Paw to Henleigh, Harleigh, Holden, Ellie and Carsyn, showering them with love and instilling in them the values of family and compassion.

Preceded in death by his father, Robert Tilghman, Sr., his mother, Dolores Tilghman, sister, Cynthia Gautreaux and brother, Joseph Tilghman. Survived by his sisters, Roberta Graves, Dorothy Tilghman of Cooper City, FL, and Melissa Tilghman. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Throughout his life, Bobby was known for his sense of humor, his ability to listen, and his willingness to lend a hand. He was a man of integrity and honor, and his word was his bond. His professional life was marked by a strong work ethic and a drive to succeed, but not at the expense of his values or the time he dedicated to his family.

Bobby's presence was a light that brightened the lives of all who knew him. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, his unwavering faith, and his ability to find happiness in the simplest of things. His impact on the world was as profound as the love he shared, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

As we say goodbye to Robert Harold Tilghman, Jr., we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey marked by love, laughter, and the many hearts he touched. Bobby's memory will forever be etched in our hearts. Though he has left this earthly realm, the essence of who he was remains with us, and his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us for generations to come

A memorial service will be held on February 7, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Divine Mercy Church, located at 4337 Sal Lentini Parkway. Following the service, a Celebration of Life will take place from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at The Event Center, 1000 W. Esplanade Avenue
