Robert Artie Toldens, Jr.

Robert Toldens Jr., a devoted father, U.S. Army veteran, skilled musician, and lifelong Philadelphian, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025.

An attendee of the Settlement Music School, Robert's golden voice and tenor saxophone filled the homes and hearts of all who knew him. He loved jazz, cooking, carpentry, and giving back to his community.

He is survived by his children: Terrez Toldens, Cortez Slack, Yvonne Slack, Robin Toldens, and another daughter whom he met once; step-children Rita Williams-Warren and Marie Williams-Ramsey; and Xavier Williams, who was like a son to him; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Alfreda Toldens.
