Robert E. Ul sr., age 84 of Wattsburg, PA died at UPMC December 17, 2025. Robert was born in Erie, PA on October 16, 1941. He was the son of the late Edward Ul and Victoria Ul(Kowalick). Robert was the beloved husband of Karen (Schweitzer)Ul, whom he married October 13, 1973.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, their children: Robert Ul jr.(Tayler) and his wife Sabrina, Katrina (Ul)Bell, and Steven Ul and his wife Jennifer; his grandchildren Vincent Spears-Ul, Devin Stepaniuk, Logan Ul, Jusela Boyd, Mariah Tayler, and Ayden Tayler. He is also survived by his sister Cindy Waidley, her husband Jerry, and their three sons. He was preceded in death by his son in law, Jeffery Bell.
Bob graduated from Erie Tech high school in 1960. He was employed at Automated Industrial Systems and Erie Press as a Design Engineer where he retired from in 2006.
Bob was a devoted musician. He had his own Polka bands, known as Bob Uleck and the Versatiles and later another band called Bob Uleck: Polka Relations. They played all over western Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, and Eastern New York.
Bob was also an avid deer hunter and camper. A private memorial service will be held at later date for the family.
