Robert L. Walters, Jr., 82, husband of Margaret Joan (Groth) Walters, Perkiomen Twp., PA, died on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
Bob was born on November 16, 1943, in Norristown, PA, to the late Robert L., Sr. and Harriet C. (Carty) Walters. He was a 1961 graduate of Schwenksville High School and served in the US Air Force from 1961 to 1963.
Before retiring in 1994, Bob was a cable splicer for Verizon. He was a member of Telephone Pioneers.
Bob loved the Phillies and Eagles, and enjoyed a good round of golf.
In addition to his wife of 61 years, Bob is survived by his children, Rebecca, wife of Michael Baskin, Quakertown, PA, and Robert, III, husband of Dorothy (Kovach) Walters, Elverson, PA; his grandchildren, Amanda Walters, Erica Walters, Wesley Walters and his fiancé Aivy Lam, Samantha (Baskin), wife of Brian Boehringer, Jessica (Baskin), wife of Chris DiRado, and Kyle, husband of Jordan (Pins) Baskin; his great-grandchildren, Owen Audido and Natalie Augido; and his sister, Bonnie Kerwin, Whidbey Island, Washington. He was preceded in death by his sister, Joan, wife of James Campbell, Royersford, PA.
A graveside service is planned for a later date in Schwenksville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assn., www.heart.org. Arrangements are by Holcombe Funeral Home, Inc., Trappe, PA.
