Robert I. Wheeler, a lifelong Detroiter, passed on October 26, 2025.Born in Detroit at Henry Ford Hospital on January 23, 1949 to Attorney Julian H. Wheeler and Lilla J. (Lissimore) Wheeler, Robert graduated from Cass Technical High School in 1966 before earning his Bachelor's degree from St. Ambrose College in Davenport, Iowa in 1970.Robert was a teacher at several schools within the Detroit Public School System from 1978 to 2009. Robert is survived by his wife, Terri; his sister, Julie Corrine (Thomas, M.D.) Fisher of Chicago; his brother, Julian H. Wheeler (Sylvia) of Detroit; and his younger brother, Atty. Gregory Wheeler (Anell) of New Jersey/Philadelphia; as well as several nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.Memorial services were conducted on Friday, November 14th, 2025.
