It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Robert "Bob" Wolk on April 19th, 2026. Bob is survived by Marcella Wolk, loving mother of his children, Michael Wolk (Maureen), Suzanne Tagman (Keith), Matthew Wolk (Marita), and Kathryn Skiendzielewski (David). Also survived by his sister Marie Hentges (Bob), nieces, nephews and many cousins. His fourteen grandchildren will miss bobbob terribly; Mandy and Michael Wolk, Shannon and Erin Kosty, Sierra, Brogan and Jackson Tagman, Ryan, Evan and Aidan Wolk, David, Dean, Kamryn and Kerry Skiendzielewski.
Bob was born in Philadelphia on December 22nd, 1942 to Mitchell and Agatha Wolk (nee Widziszewski). He attended Transfiguration Grade School and West Catholic High School. Playing basketball at Sherwood Playground and spending summers in Hazelton, PA with his sister Marie, along with their dear cousins, were some of his greatest memories. Following high school, he bled Blue and White for his Alma Mater, Villanova University. A proud veteran of the United States Army, Bob was assigned to the 8th Army Support Command, stationed at Camp Humphreys in Seoul, Korea during the Vietnam War. Later in life, he spent time volunteering at the USO, but his true passion was baseball. Using his accounting background, his skills greatly benefited the Olney Midget & Teen League (OMTL) as he was their long time treasurer. He spent countless hours doing the finances, maintaining the fields, coaching, mentoring and organizing games, tournaments and events at Hammond & Nedro.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bob's life. A viewing will be held at Wackerman Funeral Home on Friday, May 1st from 7-9 PM. On Saturday, May 2nd, a viewing from 9-10 AM and funeral mass at 10 AM will be held at St. Helena's RC Church. Interment will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery at 10 AM on Monday, May 4th. Our family thanks you for thoughts and prayers during this time. Bob shared that he would love for veterans, service members, police and firemen to wear a hat/cover and represent their service.
In lieu of flowers, Bob requested that donations be made to the USO in support of his fellow veterans. https://tinyurl.com/USO-Donation
